This workshop is available in-studio in New York as well as online zoom! DATE: Sunday, June 14th TIME: 12:00 PM - 1:30PM **We will begin promptly at 12:15! LOCATION: Loft New York - 16 Pell Street LEVEL: This workshop is designed as a training and exploratory experience, making it perfect for dancers of all levels, including complete beginners. We will focus on balance training, floorwork, and taqsim. Together, we’ll build the strength, control, flexibility, and confidence needed to balance more naturally and gracefully — both standing and while transitioning through floor work. Whether you are brand new to balancing or looking to refine your technique, you will leave with practical tools, drills, and a deeper understanding of how balance truly works in the body. Throughout the workshop, we’ll explore: • Balance drills and strengthening exercises • Stretching and mobility work for improved control • Floorwork transitions while balancing • Taqsim-inspired improvisation and flow • Posture, alignment, and body awareness • Simple combinations and movement exploration • Confidence-building techniques for smoother balancing and more ease Candle tray is NOT required to participate — a book works beautifully for training, so please bring a book with you to class!
