I’m excited to share one transformative in-person program, complemented by additional online training, designed to elevate your dance, deepen our connection, and help you grow with confidence—whether you’re just beginning or ready to step into the spotlight.

You’ll also have an amazing opportunity to travel to New York to perform in our annual professional theater show, connect with the New York JBelly Jewels, and enjoy an unforgettable experience filled with art, travel, and community. Participant Requirements

- The desire to train like a pro, learn choreography, in-depth technique and performance skills.
- RESPECT and LOVE for Arab Culture, Music, Dance, Art, & the People
- On time attendance in scheduled training sessions. Conflicts need to be shared with clear communication.
- Positive Attitude (no drama in my studio - if there is conflict bring it to my attention immediately)
- Personal Practice outside of rehearsals will be required (a video bank will be provided)
- Conduct yourself in a professional kind manner

Travel to NYC or NOT?
we fully except both!

YES, NEW YORK: If you plan to travel to New York City and perform, we’ll need your confirmation by December 15th so we have enough time to order costumes and finalize all performance details. There is a $150 performance fee to help cover NYC-related performance expenses.

Dancers traveling to New York will be responsible for their own flights and accommodations, but don’t worry — we’ll be here to help every step of the way. You’ll receive guidance and support with travel planning to ensure everything feels smooth and safe. Our NYC-based team (and a true New Yorker!) will also be available to help coordinate group housing options, neighborhood recommendations, and local tips to make your stay easy and enjoyable.

NOT THIS TIME: For dancers who choose not to travel, that’s absolutely okay! You are more than welcome to join this program and enjoy the full training experience. You’ll participate in everything leading up to the show, including our final rehearsals before the NYC trip. Attendance at those final rehearsals is encouraged but not required.

During rehearsals that focus on stage formations, you’ll be notified ahead of time—these are the only moments that may feel a bit slower for non-traveling dancers. (We like to keep things fully transparent!)

And don’t worry—there will be future Alabama performance opportunities where you’ll get to showcase the choreographies you’ve learned and share your beautiful progress on stage.

We completely understand that not everyone can travel, which is why the $150 performance fee is separate from the main program cost.

This open-level program in Alabama was created just for dancers like you who are eager to grow, perform, and truly shine. Whether you’re brand new, familiar with the basics, or advanced in the art form this experience will help you build confidence, refine your technique, and connect more deeply with the art of bellydance and our beautiful community.

And the best part? You’ll even have the opportunity to travel to New York City to perform alongside dancers from my other JBelly programs! 🌟

Here’s What You Can Look Forward To:

Technique Training – We’ll focus on strong foundations, beautiful lines, and layers—helping you feel more grounded, graceful, and expressive with every class.

Choreography & Performance – You’ll learn one dynamic multi-style choreography tailored to your level, plus a powerful Finalé Bow + Drum Solo routine performed with all program dancers.

Stage Presence & Confidence – Together, we’ll explore how to light up the stage—how to connect with your audience, tell a story, and feel your absolute best while performing.

Workshops & Extras – You’ll get access to additional workshops and bonus classes designed to inspire you and expand your artistry.

One-on-One Coaching – You’ll have private goal-setting sessions with me so I can personally support your growth and help you feel fully prepared every step of the way.

NEW YORK WEEKEND

For dancers planning to travel to New York and perform, we will need confirmation by December 15th to allow time for costume orders and other preparations.

New York City Dates: February 4th - 8th.

*performers required to be in NYC Feb 5th - 8th (can travel back home on the 8th)

SHOW WEEK: we are in the confirmation process of Show Dates, will be Solidified Soon! Tentative Dates and Schedule are in place.

PROGRAM PAYMENTS: includes everything except costumes!! (training, rehearsals, individual practice support, plethora of program benefits)

Payment 1: $250 at time of registration

Payment 2: $250 January 4th, 2026

COSTUME PAYMENT Due December 15th in full: this is separate from monthly registration fee. Costume fee will not exceed $110. We always strive to provide beautiful nicely fitted looks. Once the order is placed costume fees are non-refundable. Janelle will most likely present options for us as a team to look at.

PERFORMANCE FEE: $150 – Due January 15th
This fee applies to dancers who plan to travel to New York and perform. It helps cover additional rehearsals, studio rental, and various show-related expenses to ensure an amazing performance experience.
